Volunteer Position: Pick-Up and Delivery Volunteer (Pottstown area)
Location: Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities to Montgomery County Community College Pottstown Location
Commitment: Twice per month, approximately 1-2 hours (1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 11 – 1, generally)
Description:
Resilient Students Network is seeking a dependable and community-minded volunteer to join our efforts in supporting college and trade students facing basic needs insecurity. This role is vital in helping us transport essential food items from our partner organization, Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities (57 North Franklin St. Pottstown PA) to one of our partner schools Montgomery County Community College Pottstown Camps (16 Manatawny St. Pottstown, PA).
Responsibilities:
- Pick up pre-arranged food items from PCRC
- Safely load, transport, and unload food items to designated partner campuses
- Ensure food is handled with care and delivered in a timely manner
- Communicate with RSN staff and campus contacts regarding delivery schedules
Requirements:
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle capable of transporting food boxes or crates
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to commit to a 1-2 hour volunteer shift twice per month (1st and 3rd Wednesdays generally)
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a heart for service
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance
