When a Code Blue Emergency is declared, the Norristown Hospitality Center offers a 25 bed Code Blue Shelter. We offer the shelter at St John’s Church at Diocesan Center in the same location as the Cecil and Grace Bean’s Soup Kitchen (520 Church Street in Norristown).
The shelter will open at 8:00 PM and close at 6:30 AM during the emergency declaration. The shelter often fills to capacity, so if you need shelter, please get there early to ensure space is available.
Please note that there is a new phone number to call if you or someone you know is in need of emergency shelter during the Code Blue Emergency. Please call 610-278-3522 if you are experiencing homelessness, or know someone who is.
